James Shea of Ironwood tends his portion of the community garden at Norrie Park Wednesday afternoon. He has had a spot in the garden for all 18 years and his 23 tomato plants is a high water mark for him. He also has three broccoli, three cauliflower, three cabbage and three pepper plants, along with rows of lettuce, beets, beans and cucumber seeds planted. His plot measures 10 by 20 feet and is one of two dozen or so gardens within the confines of the fence.
