Dolores L. Harris

MESA, Ariz. - Dolores L. Harris, 95, passed away peacefully on July 20, 2018, at her home in Mesa.

Dolores was born April 18, 1923, in Ironwood, Mich. She grew up in Ironwood and attended school there where she graduated in 1940. Dolores married Thomas P. Harris in 1948 and they had two children, Susan and Thomas. Dolores and Thomas raised their children in Oshkosh, Wis., until their move to Arizona in 1969.

Dolores was an active churchgoer, an avid reader, and a lucky bingo player. Dolores enjoyed spending time with her family and being with friends. She was an excellent baker and often made delicious desserts to share with her fellow bingo players.

Dolores is preceded in death by her parents, John McQuiggin and Margaret Perrero; sisters, Joan and Marguerite; and brothers, Jack and Robert; her husband, Thomas; and her son, Thomas. She is survived by her brother, Bernard McQuiggin; daughter, Susan Stearns (Bruce); granddaughters, Lisa Hayes (Shaun) and Lori Heilner; and her great-grandchildren, Brady, Peyton, Blake and Brenden.

Her legacy of love will forever be cherished.

Dolores' family would like to thank the staff of Bella Vista Assisted Living and Family Comfort Hospice for their care and love for Dolores. Services to honor Dolores' life will be held on Thursday, Sept. 27, at 10 a.m. at St. Maria Gorettri's Catholic Parish in Scottsdale.
