Donald Brian Morzenti

IRON BELT, Wis. — Donald Brian Morzenti, 74, of Sullivan and Island Lake, passed away unexpectedly on Sept. 26, 2018. He was a greatly loved father, father-in-law, grandfather, brother, brother-in-law and uncle.

Donald was the son of the late Charles and Anna Morzenti.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean; sister, Kathleen; and brother, Ken.

Survivors include his daughter, Melanie (Tom) and his three cherished grandchildren, Anna, Madeline, and Abraham; sisters; Virginia (Syracuse, N.Y.) and Patricia (Toronto, Canada); brothers, Charles (Sharon), of Island Lake, David, of King, Gary (Yvonne), of Montreal, and Jon, of Hurley; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Don graduated from Hurley High School. He attended MATC (Milwaukee Area Technical College) and graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. He was a much loved professor of biological sciences at MATC for 30 years until his retirement. Don’s greatest love in life was his beautiful family. He also had a great love of, appreciation for, and joy in nature. Among his gifts were great strength, great caring and great love. He leaves a legacy which says: Be strong, be caring, be loving; appreciate the beauty of nature and live life fully.

Anyone who knew Don loved him. As a friend, he was someone who reached for your hand, but truly touched your heart.

As per his wishes, no formal services will be held.
