CRYSTAL FALLS, Mich. - Gary Allen-Mitchell Cronkright, 80, of Trout Creek, passed away on Oct. 21, 2018, at the Iron County Medical Care Facility in Crystal Falls. He was born May 27, 1938, in Trout Creek, to the late Adelbert and Clistia Cronkright.
He worked at the White Pine Copper Mine, as well as working as a carpentry contractor. In 2010, he retired from the LVD Casino in Watersmeet. Mick was a member of Calvary Temple Assembly of God church in Trout Creek.
He is survived by his longtime partner, Carol A. Johnson, of Trout Creek; two daughters, Wendy (Jim) Warnke, of Painesville, and Kathy Wonsey, of Baraga, and two sons, Gary Cronkright, of Iron River, and Mitchell Cronkright, of Caspian; a sister, Ester Oberg, of Kenosha, Wis., and brother, Richard Cronkright, of Sidnaw; grandchildren Aaron Warnke, Jacob Warnke, Tressa Nippa, Daphne (Eli) Doupe, Rebecca Warnke, Michelle Guth, Melissa (John) Carter, Andy (Heather), Dena, Jason (Missy), and Jeff Cronkright, John "JJ" (Jessie) Hasenberg, Gina Nygord, Dallas Jr. and Cody Johnson, as well as several great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Adelbert and Clistia Cronkright; sisters Mae Pequet, Vivian Carlisle, Angeline Cronkright, and Maxine Wills and brothers Ernest Hemming, Daniel "Joe," Duane, and Wayne Cronkright.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, 2018, at Calvary Temple Assembly of God in Trout Creek with Pastor Douglas Silsby officiating. Interment will be held at the Trout Creek Cemetery. Visitation will start at 10 a.m. at the church prior to the memorial service.
Arrangements are made by Cane Funeral Home. Following the interment, there will be a small luncheon at the Legion Hall in Trout Creek.
