Not a partridge

WHILE SEARCHING for a partridge in a pear tree along U.S.2 on Friday, frequent Daily Globe photo contributor Gary Jackson, of Ironwood, had to settle for this tranquil snowy owl. The birds are beginning to come down from Canada.
