IRONWOOD, Mich. - Carol Gloria Pavlovich, 89, of Ironwood, died Saturday evening, Dec. 1, 2018, in the home she lived her life in, surrounded by those who loved her.
Carol was born in Iron Mountain to Frank and Signe Antonino on June 28, 1929. At the age of 5, she moved with her family to Ironwood. In high school, Carol was a National Honor Society student and avid reader and sometimes artist (although she kept that hidden). She worked for seven years as an operator at the Bell Telephone Company.
On May 20, 1950, she married Nick Rudolph Pavlovich.
Carol is survived by her husband of 68 years, and eight children, Steve (Mary Lou) Pavlovich, Rick (Theresa) Pavlovich, Barbara (Dave) Blake, Sandy (Bob) Rossi, Dan Pavlovich, Mary (Dave) Reardon, Kerry (Rick) Wilson, and Lori (Jay) Holm; 15 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Also surviving is her sister and best friend, Betty Rainaldo, together known affectionately as The Dolly Sisters!
Carol loved music, laughter, Christmas, times with family, trips to Hinckley, traveling to Arizona in the winter, cards, games, puzzles, Dr. Phil, Jeopardy, old movies, parties on the deck, Skinny Pop and martinis!
She was preceded in death by her beloved brother, Robert, and his wife, Kaye, and brother-in-law, Bob Rainaldo.
She was an amazing mother, wife and friend. She is and will continue to be missed!
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, Dec. 7, at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood with a visitation preceding the Mass from 10-11 a.m. Father Robb Jurkovich will officiate as celebrant.
The family would like to give special thanks to Sue Roberts of Aspirus At Home and the entire Hospice team, especially Paula and Christine.
