Serving Gogebic, Iron and Ontonagon Counties
HURLEY — Iron County snowmoible trails opened Wednesday, according to the Hurley Chamer of Commerce.
The White Thunder Riders had three groomers out in the morning and reported that 80 miles of trail in northern Iron County were groomed.
Today, the following trails will be open:
—All of 17.
—8, from County G to the intersection with West Brancj Riad.
—8B, 13C, 15A, 11A, 6 and 2.
—All of 77.
—2, from Boomer Creek Road to Harbor Drive.
—2A to the condos.
—15, from Hogsback to Island Lake Road.
—13, from Montreal to Island Lake Road.
The following remain closed: Trail 3, entire 8; west from Trail 15 to intersection with Trail 77, entire Trail 13B, entire Trail 13 (south), from the Hogsback east/south to 310 Road; Trail 15, from the Cary Mine Store south to intersection with Trail 15A.
Snow fell Wednesday and is in the forecast for today.
Early season riding conditions are in effect, with fair to good conditions, and extreme caution advised.
