Bruce L. Bolen

NILES, Ohio - Bruce L. Bolen, Sr. 83, of Niles, entered into eternal rest Thursday, Dec. 6, 2018, at home.

He was born April 30, 1935, in Wakefield, the son of Clifford and Anna (Anderson) Bolen.

Bruce retired from Thomas Steel Strip Corp. after more than 30 years of employment. He enjoyed hunting and all Michigan sports, especially the University of Michigan Wolverines and the Detroit Lions and Tigers.

He is sadly missed by his beloved wife of 61 years, Martha J. (Kalinowski) Bolen, whom he married Oct. 19, 1957; four children: Beth (Doug) Bacon, Bruce (Karen) Bolen Jr., Michele (Bill) Ellwood, and Roy (Colleen) Bolen; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; a sister, Marlene Delich, of Wakefield; and many nieces, nephews, and their families.

Preceding him in death are his parents; three sisters: Shirlee, Gretchen and Audreen; two brothers, Donald and Douglas; and a grandson, Little Bill.

Per his request, services are private. Cremation is taking place.
