Hildur Lenora (Wright) Wiebusch

ARTHUR, N.D. - Hildur Lenora (Wright) Wiebusch passed away peacefully Dec. 26, 2018, after spending a cherished Christmas surrounded by her family from near and far.

Hildur was born Sept. 25, 1932, to Ralph and Clara (Carlson) Wright. She graduated from Arthur High School and attended Interstate Business College in Fargo.

Hildur worked for the First State Bank in Arthur for a number of years and also was the accountant at the Good Samaritan Center in Arthur. She married Robert Wiebusch in 1952, and they made their home in Arthur, raising four children, Sandra, Robert Allen, Larry and Mark.

Hildur was an active member of the St John's Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, PTO, and volunteered for numerous committees. She was the heart of the family and kept everything running smoothly. Even if she was very tired, she could be found at the kitchen sink cleaning vegetables, which Bob had just brought in from their large garden.

She never missed a pinochle game, which included child or grandchild sitting on her lap, teaching them how to play. Hildur dearly loved being with family. There was always a house full of people to make dinner for, and she made anyone who dropped by feel welcomed at the table. She was a proud mother and grandmother. She could be found in her living room playing board games with the kids/grandkids or taking them to the park. Everyone who knew Hildur would say she was a caring, patient, loving, and grateful person. It was a challenge, but she and Bob spent many hours fishing with very busy, active children.

Hildur is survived by daughter Sandy (John) Barbacovi, of Ironwood, Mich., sons Allen (Carol), of Grand Forks, Larry (Nancy), of Detroit Lakes, Minn., and Mark Wiebusch, of Argusville. Surviving grandchildren are Eric (Emily Burchell) Fitting, Ross (Margaret) Fitting, Nicholas (Justine) Wiebusch, Daniel (Michele Tate) Wiebusch, Hunter (Dani Turcotte) Wiebusch and Sydney Wiebusch. Extended family grandchildren are John (Rose) Barbacovi, Jaime Swanson, Nate (Josh) Busko, and Adam Swanson. Great-grandchildren include Payton Rye, Gage, Kyler, Brooklyn, Ezra and Aubrey Barbacovi; Brother Leon (Betty) Wright; sister Elaine Fliginger, and many nieces and nephews.

Hildur was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Robert, in 2015; parents, Ralph and Clara Wright; sister, Arlene Swenson; brothers, Ralph Wright Jr. and Leonard Wright and granddaughter, Dana Fitting.

A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, at St. John Lutheran Church in Arthur, N.D. Visitation will be held an hour before the service.
