Thomas Casley submitted this photo of the bridge the Iron Belle Trail uses to cross over snowmobile Trail 2 in Bessemer Township, west of Puritan Road. The spot is were the former Chicago and North Western and Soo Line railroads crossed. The bridge, of Baltimore through truss design, spans 120 feet and was built in 1986 by the Wisconsin Bridge and Iron Company of Milwaukee. Users of the Iron Belle Trail can read more about the bridge and others along the trail, and the region's history on signs posted along the trail.
