DULUTH, Minn. - Gloria M. Stella, 85, of Babbitt passed away Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019 at Solvay Hospice House in Duluth.
She was born on May 24, 1933 in Carey, Wis. to Leno and Mary (Ranario) DeRosso and graduated from Hurley High School.
On May 3, 1952 she married Frank A. Stella in Hurley. They made their home in Babbitt and Gloria was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church and a homemaker.
Gloria is survived by her husband Frank Stella of Babbitt; three sons, Michael (Shirley) of New Prague, James (Carol) of Hoyt Lakes and David (Kyle) of Babbitt; six grandchildren, Kari, Mike, Lindsey, Katie, Jeffrey and Joey; nine great-grandchildren and a brother, Gordon DeRosso of Spring Hill, Fla.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Robert Stella in 2007.
Funeral mass will be 11 a.m. Friday, Feb. 15, at St. Pius X Catholic Church in Babbitt with Rev. Fr. Bill Skarich as celebrant. Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be in Argo Cemetery in Babbitt. Arrangements are with the Landmark Funeral Home in Virginia.
