IRONWOOD, Mich. - Sandra Mae Robb, 75, passed away on March 4, 2019 at her home in Ironwood.
She was born on June 23, 1943, to John and Hazel (Bushie) Silanpa in Bessemer. She attended Ironwood schools and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School.
Sandra moved to Marquette to attend beauty school in 1963. Then she moved back to Ironwood where she met Daniel Robb, and they were married. They moved to Janesville, Wis., in 1968, then moved back to Ironwood, then moved to North Dakota and finally moving back to Ironwood.
Sandra was a people person and worked at Kentucky Fried Chicken for 18 years until closing. She also worked at the Brite Spot in Hurley and worked at the family's bar, San Rae Bar.
Sandra was a member of the San Rae Bowling League and loved camping, fishing, boats and her home.
She is survived by her son, John Robb, Sedro Woolley, Wash .; two daughters, Robin (Derrick) Mitchem, Oshkosh, Wis., and Krystal Osterman, Ironwood; grandchildren, Logan, Parker, Mason and Brooklyn; brother, Scott (Janice) Silanpa; and sisters, Sherri (Mark) Holmes and Susan (Walter) Davis, both of Ironwood.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband, Daniel.
A memorial service will be held at McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Ironwood, on Saturday, March 9, at noon with Pastor Lisa Ubbelohde, officiating. A visitation will be from 11 a.m. to noon at the funeral home.
A reception will be held at Nora's Bar in Hurley following the service.
