Ironwood Township Hall

THE IRONWOOD Township building remains closed Wednesday as I beams are used to support the exterior walls of the building's gymnasium. Several of the gym's support beams cracked Monday evening under the apparent snow load on the roof. Much of the snow was removed Tuesday to lighten the weight on the roof, according to township officials, and engineers continue to assess the structural damage. A message on the township's website asks residents to use email if they need to reach the township's elected officials and to mail any payments to the office until it reopens.
