Samuel Dean runs across a flooded portion of Norrie Park Road in Ironwood Monday night. The road was closed Monday as the Montreal River overflowed its banks with the continued snowmelt combined with heavy rain. The Ironwood Public Safety Department asked people not to drive through the flood waters because the west side of the Norrie dam gave way and water is flowing differently than it has in past floods. A portion of Wisconsin 122 south of U.S. 2 was closed Monday due to water over the road, according to the Wisconsin Department of Transportation.
