THIS WASHOUT has closed Forest Road 2270 in the Ottawa National Forest near Kenton. Even with the closure, both Bear's Den overlook and Silver Mountain remain accessible.
WATERSMEET - A washed out culvert has caused the U.S. Forest Service to close Forest Road 3340 at the intersection of Old U.S. 2 and intersection FR 3346 in Watersmeet.
According to a press release issued by the Ottawa National Forest, the road has been barricaded and visitors to the forest are reminded to adhere to any road closures for safety reasons.
The Forest Service anticipants the road will be closed until mid-to-late May, but stated visitors can gain access to FR 3346 from FR 4100.
