EWEN, Mich. - Mary Moll Albright, 94, long-time resident of Ewen, passed away peacefully in her sister's home on June 4, 2019, with loved ones by her side.
Mary was born in Flint in 1925 to Gertrude and Reginald Moll. She graduated from Ewen High School in 1943. Following high school, she attended and graduated from Lucid Secretarial School in Grand Rapids.
She married Harry Albright on March 25, 1945, at Kelly Air Force Base in San Antonio, Texas. They returned to the U.P. and resided in Ewen until Harry's passing in May of 2018. Mary and Harry raised five children and always had a way of making each child feel special. Their home was open to all and held many happy memories for family and friends alike.
Mary is survived by daughters, Terri Gustavson (Jon), Kathy Davis (Ted), Gig Avromov and Peg Galvin (Hal); daughter-in-law, Sue Albright; nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. She is also survived by a sister, Sally McGuire; and a sister-in-law, Rainey Moll.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Harry; son, Joe Albright; and son-in-law, Sam Avromov.
Mary was an active member of the Ewen Civic Association, American Legion Auxiliary, and the Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Mary was always willing to serve her church and community in any capacity. Her time and devotion will be greatly missed.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated July 5 at 11 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Friends may call at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of the service. Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in Ewen.
