John 'Jack' Peters

LAPEER, Mich. - John "Jack" Peters, 96, of Lapeer, died June 18, 2019 at home with his loving family beside him.

Jack was born July 7, 1922 in Wakefield to the late William and Ida (McCleary) Peters. He served his country honorably in the U.S Coast Guard.

Jack owned and operated Gambles in Sandusky till 1984. He was a past member of the Lions and Jaycees. Jack enjoyed bowling, but most of all he loved watching his family show horses.

Jack is survived by his daughter, Jill (Dan) Bain; grandchildren, Daniel (Leora) Bain, Stephanie (Joe) Gill and Cory Bain; great-grandchildren, Keeona, Connor, Cadence, Shaw, Tate and Rye. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Lenore; siblings, Robert and Priscilla.

Cremation has taken place, and no service is planned at this time.
