GRANITE BAY, Calif. - Evelyn M. (Ulasich) Sandin, of Ironwood, Mich., passed away Tuesday, June 25, 2019 in Orangevale, Calif.
She was born on Dec., 3, 1928, to the late Matt and Marie Ulasich in Ironwood. Evelyn attended and graduated from St. Ambrose High School. She met Eugene Sandin of Bessemer, Mich., and the two exchanged vows on Aug. 21, 1948, at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Ironwood.
Following World War II, the couple worked in Chicago and moved to California in 1951, Evelyn briefly worked at the Bank of America before becoming a full time homemaker. After raising two sons, they retired to Onalaska, Wis., in 1988, and later to Sun City, Ariz., in 1997. They returned to California in 2016. The two were married for 69 years.
Evelyn was preceded in death by her loving husband, Eugene, in 2017. She is survived by sons, Gregory (Barbara) of Granite Bay, and Bruce (Kim) of Roseville; grandsons, Christopher, of Sacramento, and Ryan, of Roseville; and sisters, Annabelle Zuchowski of Kenosha, Wis., and Marie Danowski, of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Matt and Marie Ulasich.
Her ashes will be interred at Sacramento Valley National Cemetery in Dixon, Calif.
