John Allan Gallo

JANESVILLE, Wis. - John Allan Gallo, 77, passed away on July 16, 2019, while at his home.

John was born on Dec. 25, 1941, in Ironwood, Mich., the son of John and Ellen (Haapala) Gallo. He served his country in the U.S. Navy from 1959-1962. John married Denise (Shoff) on July 23, 1966, in Minneapolis, Minn.

John enjoyed fishing and playing his guitar. He was an avid car enthusiast and owned a 1955 Lincoln Capri, but most of all he enjoyed camping with his family.

John is survived by his wife, Denise; a daughter, Loralee (Dewey) Volden; a son, Michael S. Gallo; 3 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 10 siblings; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

John was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Jim; and a sister, Kathy.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be directed to the family.

Memorial services will be held at the D.L. Newcomer Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th Ave. in Brodhead, on Saturday, July 20, at 6 p.m. A visitation will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday from 5 p.m. until the time of service.
