Barbara E. Valesano

TULSA, Okla. — Barbara E. Valesano, 79, born Jan. 28, 1940, in Ironwood, Mich., passed on to God’s providence on July 24, 2019.

Barbara was preceded in death by parents, John and Lois (Geach) Rowe and first husband Wayne Bushaw.

She is survived by husband, John; sons, Wade and Mark Bushaw; daughter, Michele (Johnny) McMahon; stepson, Jeffrey Valesano (Kim Hoggan); grandson, JT; stepdaughter, Kerry (Travis) Hongisto; and granddaughters, Kaelyn and Bree.

She was beloved to brother, Chico; sister, Trish; sisters-in-law, Sandy and Jane; brothers-in-law, Ron and Dave; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Barbara spent the majority of her career as the secretary of White Pine High School, a position which allowed her to fulfill her passion of serving others.

Barbara loved holidays and the camaraderie of family and friends as she would spend hours cooking and preparing for her guests.

Through the years she enjoyed the blessings of the Rowsbush Cottage in Mercer, Wis., and of her residences in White Pine, Mich., and Tulsa.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Jerald Rocco at Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield, Mich.

Please join us for Barbara’s celebration of life to be held at the Wakefield VFW on Saturday Aug. 17 at 10 a.m. Service will commence at 11 a.m. with luncheon to follow.
