BROWN DEER, Wis. - Sabina A. Modjewski, 75, of Brown Deer, passed away unexpectedly in the morning hours of Saturday, July 27, 2019, at her residence.
Sabina was born in Wakefield, Mich., daughter of Dimeter Dimitroff and Clarice (nee Cain) Dimitroff. She grew up in Wakefield and graduated from Wakefield High School. After high school Sabina attended Northern Michigan University in Marquette, Mich., graduating with a Bachelor of Science degree in mathematics.
On Feb. 4, 1967, she married James Modjewski. In 1977, the couple moved their young family to Brown Deer. Sabina worked as an actuarial specialist at Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield for more than 44 years.
Her life was spent dedicated to her family. Sabina is survived by her husband of 52 years, James of Brown Deer; and three sons, Patrick Modjeski of Port Washington, Paul Modjeski of Bessemer, Mich., and Peter (Corie) Modjeski of Erin. She is further survived by her two grandsons, Jacob and Henry; family friend, Tracy Modjeski of Port Washington; nieces and nephews, Daniel, Debbie, Dean (Janet) and Dawn Dimitroff; great-nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Tom (the late Eileen) Dimitroff; and nephew, Darin Dimitroff.
In accordance to her wishes, private family services will be held.
