Gloria M. Rowe

WAUSAU, Wis. - Gloria M. Rowe, 66, of Gurney, passed away on Monday, July 29, 2019, at Aspirus Hospital in Wausau, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Dec. 14, 1952, to Wilbert and Louise (Mazner) Luoma in Ironwood, Mich.

On Nov. 4, 1972, she married the love of her life James Rowe. The love that they had together was seen every day; and when they danced together, they lit up the room.

Gloria loved helping Jim on the family farm. She put her heart into everything she did and was willing to help whenever needed. She always put others ahead of herself.

She enjoyed crocheting, being in her yard mowing the grass, taking care of her flowers, baking, working with Jim in the strawberry fields and sitting around the campfire with family and friends.

Gloria's pride and joy were her grandchildren. She always tried to attend every school and community event that the kids participated in, and she was their biggest fan at every game. She was so proud of every one of her grandkids.

She will be deeply missed by her husband, James; children, Jessie (Aaron) Bender, Jamie (John) Sessler, Jackie (Aaron) Rowe, Joel (Josh) Hall and Jeremie Rowe; her 12 grandkids and many relatives and friends.

Gloria was preceded in death by her parents; her sister-in-law, Janice Rice; and her brothers-in-law, Dick and Dave Rowe.

The family would like to invite everyone to the Gurney Community Center on Aug. 10, from 3-7 p.m. to honor the memory of this amazing woman.

McKevitt-Patrick Funeral Home, Ironwood, is assisting the family. For more information or to express online condolences, please visit mckevittpatrickfuneralhome.com.
