Joseph E. Brozzo

MARQUETTE, Mich. - Joseph E. Brozzo, 65, of Ironwood, died on Sept. 9, 2019, at the D. J. Jacobetti Home for Veterans in Marquette.

He was born on June 6, 1954, the son of the late Lawrence and Mary (Heikkila) Brozzo.

Joe served his country for four years in the U.S. Marine Corps in the early 1970s. He was very proud to serve his country as a Marine. He also worked for Steiger's Lumber Company for several years.

He is survived by his wife of 24 years, Cindy Brozzo of Ironwood; children, Jamie (Jen) Brozzo of Maplewood, Minn., Brandi Brozzo of Spring Lakes, Minn., Steven (Jennifer) Brozzo of Gwinn, Lawrence (Cassie) Brozzo of Wausau, Wis., Joshua Hotchkiss of Ironwood, and Tamatha (Jack) Grant of Florida City, Fla .; brother, Jack (Tammy) Brozzo of Bessemer; many nieces and nephews, and his friend from childhood, Ken Jacobson. Also surviving are the ones he loved the most, his grandchildren, Cody, Haylee and Wyatt Brozzo, Wayne III, Hunter and Cohlten Braun, and Conner and Henry Hotchkiss; and last but not least, Remington and Xavier.

A memorial service will be held at Westgate Nursing Home, 1500 N. Lowell St., Ironwood, on Saturday, Sept. 28, at 10 a.m. preceded by a visitation from 9 a.m. until service time. Cake will be served at 11 a.m.
