IRONWOOD, Mich. — Margaret Ellen Barlock, 82, of Bruce Crossing, passed away on Oct. 13, 2019, at Aspirus Ironwood Hospital surrounded by her family.
Margaret was born on Aug. 22, 1937, to Gladys (Egger) and Jack Connors in Wakefield. She attended Bergland High School, graduating in 1955. Margaret married Andrew Barlock, March 10, 1956, in Ewen. They had four daughters, Donna, Teresa, Andrea and Mary. They also raised their grandson, Travis.
She worked as an administrative assistant, for the Gogebic-Ontonagon Intermediate School District until she retired.
Margaret was devout in her faith, attending mass every weekend. She had an incredible work ethic and was willing to help anyone in need. She was happiest when she was able to help others. She will be missed.
Margaret is survived by her children, Donna (Dick) Manor, Andrea (Jerry) Leskela and Travis (Nicole) Barlock; her sister, Ginny (John) Huhtala; five grandchildren, Andrew (Amanda) Morris, Corey (Katelyn) Morris, Tyler (Keira) Leskela, Chase Leskela and Zackry Leskela; six great-grandchildren; and numerous special nieces, nephews and friends.
Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, Gladys and Jack; her husband, Andrew; daughters, Teresa and Mary; and brothers Bob, Jim and Pat.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Saturday, Oct. 19, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Ewen. Father Brian Gerber will officiate.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Ontonagon County Cancer Society.
