IRONWOOD, Mich. - Michael "Mickey" DeRosso, 58, of Ironwood, passed away on Oct. 3, 2019, at home surrounded by his loving family.
Mickey was born on Dec. 22, 1960, in Ironwood to Dennis and Irene DeRosso. He graduated from Hurley in 1979.
He served in the U.S. Army stationed in Germany in 1979 and was honorably discharged in 1981.
Mickey married the love of his life, Julie LaMarche, on July 23, 1983.
He was employed at Greg's Towing for many years.
Mickey loved hunting and fishing with his children, and above all else, he loved spending time with his family.
Mickey is survived by his mother, Irene DeRosso; his wife, Julie DeRosso; his children, Dennis (Heidi) DeRosso, Michael (Kimberly) DeRosso and Brandon DeRossol; brothers and sisters, Barry Derosso, Candice (Tom) Thompson, Gina (Jeffery) Pikkard, Scott (Jyl) DeRosso and Paul (Lori) Derosso; grandchildren, Dylan, Luke, Joseph, Caleb, Noah and Alice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis DeRosso.
A memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Catholic Church, 404 Iron St., Hurley, on Saturday, Oct. 26, at 11 a.m. with Father Frank Kordek OFM officiating. A luncheon will follow in the basement of the church after the service.
Lakeside Memorial Chapel Inc., Wakefield, assisted the family.
