IRONWOOD, Mich. — Dorothy M. Hagerty, 99, of Ironwood, died Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at her home.
Dorothy was born on Aug. 14, 1920, in Philadelphia, Pa., a daughter of Charles and Emilie (Boekel) Linsenmaier.
She was a certified home health aide for 30 years.
Dorothy moved to Ironwood in 1999. She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church in Ironwood. Dorothy took pleasure knitting and throughout the years donated countless pairs of hats and mittens to local schools.
Dorothy is survived by son, William J. Hagerty Jr. and fiancé Kelly Ann Burns; his son, William P. (Brittnee) Hagerty and their children, Olivia and Milo; and his daughter, Kristina L. Taylor and her children, Hayden and Ashlyn; son, Michael J. Hagerty; three granddaughters, Brandi Pazdernik and her daughter, Elizabeth, and twins, Tanya and Suzanne Pazdernik; granddaughters, Angela Swartz (Jimmy) and Nicole Brannigan (Matt Miller) and great-grandchildren, Briaunna Brannigan, Rhett Swartz and Averie Miller; and many dear nieces, nephews and cousins.
She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Emma; a brother, Ernest; and her daughter-in-law, Bonnie (Pazdernik) Hagerty.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
