ASHLAND, Wis. - Arlene V. Maki, 88, of Oma, passed away on Oct. 28, 2019, at Court Manor Health Systems in Ashland.
Arlene was born on June 16, 1931, in Oma, the daughter of Victor and Vera (Lahti) Saarnio. She attended Oma and Hurley Schools and graduated from Hurley High School with the class of 1949.
She married Aaro Maki on April 13, 1956. He preceded her in death on June 30, 2016.
Arlene enjoyed traveling, antiquing and visiting friends.
She is survived by sons, Brian and Bruce (Clara) Maki both of Hurley; daughter, Brenda Maki of Hurley; granddaughters, Tanya (Brendan) McGee, Lana (Daniel) Mueller, Katy (Brian) Grant, and Selena Olson; and two great-granddaughters, Veronika and Viktoria Mueller.
Arlene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Aaro; brothers, Allan in World War II, Arnold, and Mervin in infancy; and grandson, Benjamin.
Cremation has taken place and no services will be held per Arlene's wishes.
