James F. 'Jim' Kutz

WAUSAU, Wis. - James F. "Jim" Kutz, 81, of Ironwood passed away on Nov. 13, 2019, in Wausau, Wis.

He was born on Oct. 20, 1938, in Ironwood, Mich., the son of Benjamin and Minnie (Gill) Kutz. He attended Ironwood schools and graduated from Luther L. Wright High School with the class of 1957.

Jim lived in Menomonee Falls from 1961 to 1966 and worked at A.O. Smith. He then moved back to Ironwood and worked at the White Pine Copper Company.

He married Katherine Rosga in December of 1960. They later divorced.

Jim is survived by daughters, Susan Ahola of Ironwood, Jane (Dave) Kevan of Genoa City, and Cathryn (Bill Davis) Kutz of Chippewa Falls; grandchildren, Jeremy, Jacquelyn (Kevin), Justin, Katelyn (Steve), Breanna (Ger), Shayla, Marissa and Braxton (Danyelle Moucha); great-grandchildren, Logan, Alexis, Ethan, Jax, Harper, Abel, Paizley and Natalie; special friend, Chris; and special dog, Duke.

He was preceded in death by his parents; ex-wife, Katherine; grandson, Garrett Kevan; brothers, William and Bob Kutz; and sisters, Anna Grace and Inez (Rudolph) Vrana.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, Nov. 23, at the Aurora Club at 101 Penokee Road in Ironwood at 3 p.m.
