IRONWOOD, Mich. - Margaret "Joyce" Bastman, 85, of Ironwood, passed away on Jan. 1, 2020, at home.
Margaret was born on Nov. 16, 1934, in Ironwood, daughter of Enoch and Alberta (Dixon) Marander. She was raised in Ramsay and Ironwood attended Bessemer and Ironwood schools and graduated from A. D. Johnson High School with the Class of 1954.
She was previously married to Red Jackson. She then married Jack C. Bastman Sr. on May 16, 1959, at the First Presbyterian Church in Hurley, Wis., and he preceded her in death
Margaret enjoyed going to church and was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Ironwood. She also enjoyed weekend car rides, television programs - particularly westerns - and her grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Jack; and three children in infancy.
Margaret is survived by her children, David (Lynn) Jackson Sr. of Ironwood, Jack C. (Laurie) Bastman Jr. of Sturgeon Bay, Wis., Michael Bastman of Ironwood, Dale Bastman of Ironwood, Debra (Brady) Roberts of Ironwood, and Sandra (Dan) Matonich of Bessemer; nine grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; sister, Nancy Perlberg of Summit Lake, Wis .; and brother-in-law, Robert Bastman of Ironwood.
Private services will be held in the spring.
