John Sommers

Palm Harbor, Fla. - John Sommers passed away peacefully in Palm Harbor, Fla. on Jan. 5, 2020, at the age of 88.

Born and raised in Ramsay, Mich. to Croatian immigrants John and Mary Sommers. John lived a full and rewarding life. He was a US Navy veteran, a Michigan State University alumnus, and worked as a government and economics high school teacher in Waterford, Mich. He returned to his hometown of Ramsay to spend many of his later years, before eventually retiring to Florida to be with his family.

John was the much loved father of Jay, Daniel (Julie), Matthew and Robin (Emil), and proud grandfather of Scarlett, Summer, Brynn and Aaron.
