BERGLAND, Mich. — Marian J. Brentar, 74, passed away at Aspirus Wausau Hospital on March 23, 2020.
She was born the daughter of Stanley C Kaczmarek Sr. and Mary H. (Galamba) Kaczmarek in Wakefield. She graduated from Wakefield High School and on Aug. 12, 1967, she was united in marriage to Bernard J. Brentar.
Marian had a long secretarial career and retired from the state of Michigan in 2007. She was a talented quilter and enjoyed sewing, knitting and crocheting, especially if it was for her grandchildren.
She is survived by loving husband, Bernie; two sons, Michael of Milwaukee, and Paul (Tricia) of Lansing; and two beautiful grandchildren, Grace Louise and Joseph Robert Brentar; two brothers, Monsignor James A. Kaczmarek of Iron Mountain, and David (Barb) Kaczmarek of Green Bay, Wisconsin; and a sister, Margaret (Gene) Bauer of Eagle River, Wisconsin. She is further survived by sisters and brothers-in-law; Gloria Holmes, Bonnie Hongisto, David (Cheri) Brentar, Patty (Philip) Yatchak, Darlene Keithly and Pauline (Thomas) Pikka as well as by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
Marian was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Mary Kaczmarek; father and mother-in-law, Mario and Ruth Brentar; brother, Stanley Kaczmarek Jr .; sister-in-law Betty Kaczmarek; and brothers-in-law Norman Hongisto and Ron Keithly.
