CORPUS CHRISTI, Texas - Kermit "Ed" Rice, 81, originally from Ironwood, passed away on Feb. 29, 2020, at his home in Corpus Christi.
He served in the U.S. Navy as an air traffic controller for 22 years, and then worked for the Civil Service in air operations for 17 years.
Ed was memorialized with full military honors and now rests at the Coastal Bend State Veterans Cemetery in Corpus Christi.
He is survived by his wife, Carol (Abramson); his two daughters, Tammy and Sheri; his two grandsons, Shayne and Josiah; his two sisters, Millie and Marilyn; and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was deeply loved and will be missed terribly.
