ONTONAGON, Mich. - Donna R. Kirkley, 49, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2020, at Ontonagon Aspirus Long Term Care after a 10 year battle with Huntington's Disease. She was born on Jan. 22, 1971, to Donald and Maxine (Reynolds) Pemble. In 1990, she married Robert Kirkley, but they have since divorced.
Donna had her children very young - which we are all very thankful for - and she worked extremely hard to ensure we all were shown the love and support we deserved. In her time as a CNA at Maple Manor, she was a great teacher and had so much compassion for all the residents she cared for. It was her passion to help and take care of people.
She is survived by her children, Amber (Matt) Pender, Allyssa DeHaan, and Dylan (Kelli) Kirkley; father Donald (Darlene) Pemble; grandchildren, Carson and Mila DeHaan and James and Lillian Pender; sisters, Paula (Stephen) Hueners and Samantha (Adam) Kussard; and brothers, Tony (Christina) Pemble and Jeremy Schmeda. She is further survived by uncles, Lyle (JoAnne) and Roy (Cheri) Pemble, cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Maxine (Reynolds) Pemble; grandparents, Autie and Irene (Bradley) Reynolds, and Lyle and Thelma Pemble; and sisters, Barbara and Pamela.
Friends and family can gather Saturday, May 30, at 11 a.m. CST at Mercer Cemetery in Mercer, Wisconsin.
The family wishes to thank the staff at Ontonagon Long Term Care for caring for Donna for the last three years.
Memorials may be made to the Huntington's Disease Society of American, 505 Eighth Ave., Suite 902, New York, NY 10018.
