Scott Thomas Eilken

IRONWOOD, Mich. - Scott Thomas Eilken, 35, of Ironwood, passed away Thursday, June 18, 2020, in Duluth, Minnesota following a lifetime of illness. He was born Feb. 20, 1985, in Berwyn, Illinois to Thomas and JoAnn (Bach) Eilken.

The family moved to Ironwood in 1990 where Scotty attended Norrie Elementary School and Luther L. Wright High School with the Class of 2003.

He was very active in music throughout his life being a member of Marty's Goldenaires, hosting karaoke and DJing many local events, weddings and other parties as well as DJing at multiple establishments in Hurley, Wisconsin. He held many different jobs, often having to leave them due to illness, some including McDonalds, Subway, Super One, Horse's Corral, Dawn's Never Inn, Pizza King Joe, Ben's Place, Ace Hardware and O'Reilly's Auto Parts.

Scotty loved life and lived each day as if he may not get another. He loved dogs, especially Great Danes. He was heartbroken when he lost his pal, Moose, and is missed by his giant friend, Flash. Scotty would help anyone whether he knew them or not and always had stories to tell anyone who would listen. His charm drew you in and he left an impact on anyone he interacted with. He enjoyed rides on his Buell, big lake fishing, cooking, Star Wars and tattoos.

Scotty served on multiple local volunteer fire departments and was currently serving Bessemer Township and the City of Ironwood.

Scotty's biggest dream was to be a father. His fiancée, Cara Wagner, blessed him with this opportunity and we know that he will be present in spirit at the birth of his daughter, Camille Rey Eilken.

Scotty is survived by his fiancé, Cara Wagner of Ironwood; his daughter, Camille; his parents, Tom Eilken and JoAnn Eilken, both of Ironwood; his sister, Sarah (Steve) Eder of Montreal, Wisconsin; along with his niece/goddaughter, Addison and his nephews, Eric, Mackenzie and Miles. Scotty is further survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins all of whom he held close to his heart.

In true Scotty fashion, a party will be held at Dawn's Never Inn in Hurley, Wisconsin on a date yet to be determined.
