Janice F. Meredith-Gust

WAUSAU, Wis. - Janice F. Meredith-Gust passed away peacefully on Feb. 8, 2020, after a short illness while residing in Wausau.

She was born on Dec. 31, 1933, to Donald and Frances Meredith of Mellen. They later moved to Saxon and after high school graduation, pursued a teaching career. She taught for years in the area and eventually retired from St. Sebastian Catholic School in Bessemer.

She was married to Frank Gust and raised a family in Ironwood. She is survived by her siblings, Robert (Shirley) Meredith, Renee (Bob) Massoglia and Donna (Jim) Bourdages; her children, Paul, Larry, Marry and Theresa; her grandchildren, Courtney, David, Hope and Savannah; and great-grandchildren, Ty, Bryant, Easton, Caleb, Audi, Mia and Phoenix.

She loved being around family, traveling, playing cards and piano, and eating out. Her strong faith is a reminder that she is with our Savior and other loving family members.

There will be a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Sebastian Catholic Church with Father Dominic presiding on Saturday, July 18, 2020. Visitation will be at 10 a.m., followed by the service at 11 a.m. Luncheon to follow. Interment at Saxon Cemetery to follow. All are welcome.
