Robert A. Brown

LITTLE LAKE, Mich. - Robert A. Brown, age 72, of Little Lake (formerly of Gladstone), passed away Tuesday, Aug. 18, at his home in Little Lake. He was born on Aug. 26, 1947 in Henderson, Texas, the son of William and Eleanor (Zuildmulder) Brown. At the young age of 4, Robert's family relocated to Wakefield.

He attended Wakefield Schools and graduated from high school in 1966. Robert went on to enlist in the U.S. Air Force in 1966 and completed his career with retirement in 1988 at KI Sawyer Air Force Base. He continued to work for the Air Force in snow removal as a civilian and transferred to Fort McCoy in Sparta, Wisconsin to work as a heavy equipment operator, where he retired in 2000. Robert married the former Robin Ann Steele on May 6, 1994. Together, the couple shared 26 years of marriage. He enjoyed living life to the fullest and loved spending time in the woods.

Robert A. Brown is survived by his wife, Robin Brown of Little Lake; children, John (Jen) Brown of Rudyard, and Angela Brown of Auburn, Washington; grandchildren, Daein Ashwood of Auburn, Washington, Haley Mattson of Grand Rapids, and Katie Erskine of Rudyard; siblings, William (Pam) Brown, Jr. of Sparta, Wisconsin, Cheryl Brown of Sparta, Wisconsin, Carol (Gary) Haskins of Sparta, Wisconsin, and Tommy (Sue) Brown of Waukegan, Illinois; and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, William and Eleanor Brown, Sr.

A celebration of Robert's life will be held at a later date. The Anderson Funeral Homes of Escanaba and Gladstone are assisting the Brown family and online condolences can be sent at andersonfuneralhomes.net.
