CLEVELAND, Miss. - Marshall E. Leonard Jr., 66, was taken to his eternal heavenly home from early onset dementia, on Sunday, Sept. 13, 2020, in Cleveland, Mississippi.
A memorial service commemorating the Savior's blessings for Marshall will be held Thursday, Sept. 17, 2020, at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in Tupelo, at 11 a.m. Internment will be at Graceland Cemetery, Valparaiso, this fall.
Marshall was born to Dolores and Marshall E. Leonard on July 10, 1954, in Waukegan, Illinois. He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church, in McHenry, Illinois. Marshall graduated from Northland College, in Ashland, Wisconsin, with a Bachelor of Arts degree.
Marshall enjoyed music, Bible study, caring for animals and water sports. His faith in the Lord was his rock and salvation. A gift Marshall shared was to reach out to those in need.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Marshall E. Leonard Sr. and Dolores Buelow Leonard; and several aunts and uncles.
Marshall is survived by his sister, Deborah (Bill) Leonard, of Ironwood, Michigan; an aunt and cousins.
