MADISON, Wis. - Gary Makolondra, 57, died Sept. 12, 2020, at U.W. Health University Hospital in Madison.
Gary was born May 15, 1963, and grew up in Liberty, Illinois.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Delores Makolondra; father, Ivan Makolondra; brother, Bernard Makolondra; and an infant sister.
He is survived by his daughter, Cortney Makolondra; his brother, John Makolondra; and sisters, Judy Salija and Katie Makolondra.
Gary was a well known contractor in the area and enjoyed being outdoors, hunting and fishing in his spare time.
In honor of his memory, there will be a celebration of life held on Oct. 17, at the Iron County Memorial Building in Hurley from 1 to 4 p.m.
