IRONWOOD, Mich. - Alan Laitila, 73, of Ironwood passed away on Nov. 5, 2020, at Westgate Nursing, Rehabilitation and Assisted Living Community in Ironwood.
He was born Oct. 27, 1947, in Jackson, son of Paul and Marguerite (Wheeler) Laitila. He attended Gogebic Community College in Ironwood and received an Associate Degree.
He also served in the U.S. Army during the Viertnam Era.
Alan worked at Wells Fargo Bank in Ironwood for many years. He also worked for the White Pine Copper Mine. He was a member of Ironwood American Legion Post 5 and the Ironwood Jaycees. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and football, especially the Detroit Lions. He was easy-going and loved to talk with people.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul and Marguerite Laitila; and brother, Jack Laitila.
Alan is survived by his daughter, Kristina (Ryan) Spencer; grandchildren, Kailey and Ryan Jr .; special cousin, Dolores Luoma; close friends, Chelsea and Casey Ofstad; and many other cousins.

A graveside service will be held in the spring.
