Judy Kasten

MARSHFIELD, Wis. — Judy Kasten, 57, passed away Monday, Nov. 23, 2020, at the Marshfield WI hospital after a short battle with COVID.

Judy was the daughter of Norman and Rachel Kasten. She graduated from Ewen-Trout Creek High School in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula in 1982. Judy worked as a caretaker at nursing homes for many years in Phelps, Wisconsin, and Ontonagon, Michigan. She lived many years in Ewen, and later in Bergland, Michigan.

Judy will be missed by all her family and friends. She is survived by three sisters, Sue Henderson, Mary (Mark) Ludack and Angie (Tom) Guski, all of Ashland, Wisconsin; four brothers, Bob (Amy), Scott (Cheryl) and Kent (Barb), all of Merrill, Wisconsin, and Norman Jr. of Mellen, Wiconsin. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Judy was preceded in death by her parents, Norman and Rachel (Spargo) Kasten; two brothers, Dave (Kris) and Dale; one sister, Lori (Stacey) Taggart; brother-in-law, Bernie Henderson; as well as special friend, “Shorty” Jasper Fann, and canine “son,” Rex.

A gathering to remember Judy will be held in Spring 2021.
