WATERSMEET - Robert "Bob" Rudy Reichardt passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020. He was 69 years old. He was born on Nov. 30, 1950 to Rudy and Marge Reichardt.
Bob married the love of his life, June (Hautamaki) on May 4, 1991. He served in the United States Navy from 1969 to 1973. He owned and operated Bob's Electric for many years in Watersmeet. He then moved to Ohio where he worked as an electrician until retirement, and then moved back to his family home of Watersmeet.
Written by sister Kathy:
"Anyone who knew Bob knows what a loving and caring person he was. He certainly had incredible ethics, knew how to work hard and treat people with kindness. He worked with others and gained their respect. He told me several times they didn't work under him, he worked right alongside of them.
Foremost, he had ambition to be a loving husband for June, was an amazing provider and always put her first above anything. A lot of that was due to his upbringing by our parents, Rudy and Marge.
Bob had this crazy sense of humor and could make people laugh out of the blue. His laughter was infectious. There are not enough words in the English language to describe what a great man he was.
We are true believers Bob was welcomed into heaven with the pearly gates wide open and trumpets playing to invite him to his everlasting home with his Lord and Jesus Christ. God has blessed his soul for eternity."
Bob is survived by his wife June, stepson David Larson and step grandchildren Aria and Marin. His sister Kathi Carufel, brother-in-law Dan Hall, along with several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Rudy and Marge; his sister, Vonnie; brother-in-law, Ken Carufel; his mother and father-in-law, Florence and Walter Hautamaki; and five brothers-in-laws and one sister-in-law.
There will be a celebration of life in the spring of 2021.
Cane Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
