Dale Allen Holst

MONTREAL, Wis. - Dale Allen Holst, 58, of Montreal, passed away unexpectedly in his home on Nov. 21, 2020. He was born on Dec. 28, 1961, son of William and Jean (Mattson) Holst. He attended Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood, Michigan, graduating with the class of 1980.

He was preceded in death by his father, William Holst, on Nov. 4, 2020.

Dale is survived by his children, Rachel (Clint) Kordus and Jordan (Tawny) Holst; his mother, Jean Holst; sisters, Debbie (Jeff) Vandevoorde and Diane (Bob) Zell; his best friend, Steve (Darlene) Bahun; his ex-wife, Diana Holst; and his granddaughters, Chloe and Kinley Kordus, whom he adored very much.

He enjoyed basketball, softball, baseball, and woodworking of all kinds. He coached Little League, basketball, and softball from elementary to high school for Rachel and Jordan. He also refereed for local high schools and colleges for many years.

Dale will be laid to rest with his father this spring at Sunset Acres in Ironwood Township. A celebration of life will be arranged at a later date.
