Tammy Jean Gill

MESA, Ariz. - Tammy Jean Gill, 60, of Mesa, passed away on Dec. 10, 2020, after a long illness, with her loving husband by her side. Tammy moved to Mesa from Montreal, Wisconsin, after she married Don Gill in 2005.

Tammy was born in Kenosha, Wisconsin, on Dec. 25, 1959, and took great pride in being a Christmas baby. She was the daughter of Ronald and Lois (Erickson) Peterson.

Tammy worked for many years at Josephson's Nursing Home in Ironwood, Michigan, and took great pleasure in taking care of her "Grandmas and Grandpas." She never passed up an opportunity to help someone in need.

Tammy is survived by her sons, Klay (Lori) Vehring, and Kraig (Jaime) Elenbaas. Also surviving are her three grandsons, William, Kaleb and Wyatt. Her mother, Lois Peterson; brother, Ronnie (Cheryl) Peterson; and sister, Tina (Roy) Neace, also survive. She has also left behind Don's children, Durinda (Tim) O'dell, Melissa (Justin) Ravelli, Jennifer Rose and Courtney (Greg) Burkett; several nieces and nephews, and stepgrandchildren.

Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Ronnie Peterson.

Per her request, cremation has taken place.

A celebration of her life will be held in Ironwood during the summer of 2021.
