Roger J. Stella Sr.

WARNER ROBINS, Ga. - Roger J. Stella Sr., 71, passed away on Jan. 10, 2021, in Warner Robins after a brief illness.

Born in Ironwood, Michigan, Roger was raised and attended school in Hurley, Wisconsin. After high school, Roger joined the U.S. Marine Corps and later joined the U.S. Air Force. He was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, Air Force Commendation Medal, National Defense Service Medal and served in support of Desert Shield and Desert Storm. He retired from Robins Air Force Base after 26 years of service.

Roger was preceded in death by his parents, Italo Joseph Stella and Mary Minnelli Stella; and his brother, Evarest Stella.

Surviving are his wife, Carrie; daughter, Angie (Nick) Nicholson; sons, Roger J. (Stacy) Stella Jr., and Joey (Mandy) Stella; sisters, Gloria Stella, Tina (Bob) Secor, and Terry (Bill) Nowlin; brother, John (Sandy) Stella; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and multiple nieces and nephews.

There will be a private family-only graveside service at Memorial Park Cemetery in Warner Robins.
