SAXON, Wis. — Lorene Ann “Renee” Massoglia, 81, of Saxon, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021.
Renee was born on Aug. 31, 1939, in Ashland, the youngest child of Donald B. and Frances G. (Organist) Meredith. She graduated from Saxon High School in 1957.
On Oct. 3, 1959, she married Robert L. “Bob” Massoglia at St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Saxon.
Renee was a lifelong homemaker. She was a member of the St. Ann’s Guild and a volunteer for the Saxon-Gurney American Legion Auxiliary. She loved to cook and bake for family and friends. She was an avid sports fan who especially loved the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Renee is survived by her husband, Bob; three children, Mark, of Omro, and Greg (Debbie) and Kay, both of Saxon. She was extremely close to her two grandsons, Robert “Bobby” and Tate, both of Saxon.
Renee is also survived by a brother, Robert (Shirley), of Ashland; a sister, Donna (the late Jim) Bourdages, of De Kalb, Illinois; two brothers-in-law, Jack (the late Sharon) Massoglia, of Kenosha, and Terry (the late Maureen) Massoglia, of Superior; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a sister, Janice Gust; her brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Joe and Helen Massoglia; and her sister-in-law, Mary Frances Massoglia.
A graveside ceremony for family and close friends is tentatively planned for Spring 2021 at the Lake View Cemetery in Saxon.
