Irene C. DeRosso

IRONWOOD, Mich. — Irene C. DeRosso, 85, of Hurley, passed away suddenly on Feb. 20, 2021.

She was born on March 26, 1935, in Pence, Wisconsin, the daughter to the late Louis and Frieda (Magni) Morgando.

On Sept. 4, 1954, she was united in marriage to Dennis DeRosso.

Mom was an amazing knitter and crafter and always had several projects in process. She was also a wonderful cook and baker, and there was always something sweet for a treat with afternoon coffee. She loved playing Bingo with her friends and neighbors.

Irene is survived by her children, Barry DeRosso, Candy (Tom) Thompson, Gina (Jeff) Pickhardt, Paul (Lori) DeRosso, Scott (Jyl) DeRosso; and daughter-in-law, Julie (Mickey) DeRosso; as well as 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Louise Morgando.

Irene was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dennis; and son, Mickey; as well as five brothers and three sisters.
