HURLEY, Wis. - Trina A. Rowett, age 79, of Hurley, passed away Thursday, April 29, 2021, at Villa Maria Health Care Center, in Hurley. She was born Nov. 15, 1941, in Ironwood, Michigan, the daughter of John and Gladys (Johnson) Rowett Jr.
She graduated from Luther L. Wright High School in Ironwood. Trina and her husband owned and operated Hiawatha Trading Post in Ironwood, and she later got her CDL license. Trina was a truck driver and a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, racing stock cars, and snowmobiles.
She is survived by four children, Curt (DeAnna) Carli, Deana Carli, Cari (Scott) Stanczak and Kelli Stanczak; three grandsons, Michael Stanczak, Casey Carli and Cameron Carli; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, one sister; a son in infancy, and a son-in-law, Gregg Stanczak on Feb. 17, 2021.
Private family services were held.
The family would like to thank the Villa Maria Nursing Home for their compassionate care during our mother's final days.
