IRONWOOD, Mich. — Marlin John Lundwall, 92, formerly of Topaz, passed away at Aspirus Grandview Hospital in Ironwood, on Tuesday, Aug. 17, 2021.
He was born March 26, 1929, in Michigamme, son of the late Oscar and Teckla (Equist) Lundwall. Marlin was employed as a shaft repairman at the White Pine Copper Mine. He loved to hunt and fish. Marlin’s passion was cribbage — an activity he was able to enjoy even after his hunting and fishing days were over.
He had been married to the former Madeline Bailey. After their divorce, Marlin then married Peg Raymond. She preceded him in death.
In addition to his parents and wife, Peg, Marlin was preceded in death by his daughter, Joy Livermore; stepson, Michael J. Raymond; and 11 siblings.
He is survived by his sons, Jay (Betty) and Terry (Candace) Lundwall; daughter, Heidi (Cliff) Kohler, stepdaughter, Theresa (Harold) Cross; stepson, Christopher (Cecelia) Raymond; stepdaughter, Frances (Dave) Carvell; nine grandchildren; 23 great grandchildren; nine stepgrandchildren; 15 stepgreat-grandchildren; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 24, 2021, at the Cane Funeral Home-Bruce Crossing Chapel. Friends may call at the funeral home one hour prior to the start of the service.
