WASHBURN, Wis. — Gary Lee Rund, 78, of Bessemer, Michigan, passed away after a short stay at The Northern Lights Care facility in Washburn.
Gary was born March 22, 1943, to Melbourne and Francis (Osier) Rund at Divine Infant Hospital in Wakefield, Michigan.
He was a graduate of Bessemer school in 1961.
Later, he served faithfully in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam war working with communications.
He took what he learned from the Army and turned it into a career of more than 30 years with Anderson Communications in Marquette, Michigan, as a radio and tower repairman.
His parents and his brother-in-law, Wilfred Dums, preceded him in passing.
He is survived by his brother, Clayton (Miriam) Rund of Bessemer; sister, Kathleen “Tootsie” Dums of Bessemer; as well as nephews, Jon and James Rund of Wakefield, and nephew, Darren (Jennifer) Dums of South Range, Wisconsin.
A private family service will be held at a later date at Hillcrest Cemetery in Bessemer.
