WATERSMEET, Mich. - George "Sonny" Peacock, age 83, passed away on Sept. 4, 2021, at his home in Watersmeet.
George was born Aug. 16, 1938, in Watersmeet to George "Valda" and Hazel (Orsborn) Peacock. He graduated High School in Frankfort in 1956 and served in the U.S. Army from 1956 to 1959, spending more than a year in Korea. He married Bonnie Clark on June 24, 1961.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie; daughter, Cherie (Rich Torquemada); son, Gary (Liz); grandchildren, Bethany (Robert Puffer), Brian (Betty), and Matthew Peacock, and Kelley Torquemada; and great-grandchildren, Jackson and Lilly Puffer, and Malachi Peacock. He is also survived by sister, Patsy Neumann; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Rodney and Carol Clark; and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 10, at the Watersmeet Cemetery. A private family service was performed by Pastor Rob Yerks of the Watersmeet Bible Church.
